fabric friday

These are a few of the recent additions to my stash. I bought half yard cuts of the Madrona Road text prints as soon as I could find them. I knew they would go fast! I've already used some of it, but that's for another post!

The pic below is of a few fat eighths I picked up at a local fabric shop. I also picked up some Joel Dewberry Aviary Woodgrain yardage. You can never have enough woodgrain, in my opinion!

  2. What is that beautiful blue you got, sitting on top?

    1. I had to do a little checking because I didn't get the selvage edge in my cut, but that is Stockholm Vintage Blue Hexagons by Robin Zingone for Robert Kaufman. It is a wonderful color of blue, I agree! I should have got more than a fat 1/8! :)

    2. Wow, thanks for the quick reply, Kyndra! Would you say the blue in the photo is true to what you have or is it darker or lighter? Thanks :)

    3. I would say that the value is about the same as the photo, but that the color is not quite so much of a bright royal as you might see in the photo. It's a little tough to describe! It is somewhere between a royal and a navy (definitely not as dark as navy). I checked it against my Kona color card and I would say the blue is closest to Kona Regatta (346) but very slightly darker. The white matches Kona Snow. That might help if you have access to a Kona color card. I hope I have helped you out! It's so difficult to determine colors if you don't get to see them in person!
