In case you don't know, Sunday is Mother's Day. It's a pretty important day for those of us who go by that name! At my house, I'm known as "Momma."
For this bag, I followed the pattern for size but chose to add some top stitching and a fabric flower. I also removed the ribbon ties as I thought it might be a little inconvenient to tie a bow every time you want to close the bag. I also added a decorative stitch on the strap. If I made this bag again, I'm not sure I'd add the ribbon. It's been hanging in my dining room for a week, and every time I look at it, I can't decide if I like it! What do you think?
This pattern was super easy to follow and taking just 1 1/2 yards of fabric (plus batting I already had), it cost less to make than the card, packaging and shipping combined!
So.... It's in the mail. And no, although very tempting, I didn't include the grandkids in the package!
Happy Mother's Day, Mom!
