Blogger's Quilt Festival

I've decided to link up my Two Left Feet quilt to the Blogger's Quilt Festival! Check it out!

This is my first pieced quilt... and here's the story behind it.

One day, as I was surfing for DIY decorating ideas, I came across a quilter's blog. Thinking to myself, I thought how cool it would be to make a quilt for a throw for my living room, so I began doing research. That's when I discovered how vast the possibilities were and how wonderful quilting is as a creative outlet. As I started planning and practicing techniques, I quickly found out, that of all the DIY stuff I've done in the past, Quilting was so for me!!! I have fallen in love and basically become obsessed!

The colors in this quilt were inspired from some stationery that I had. I found the pattern in this book. I loved that it was a fairly simple pattern that looked more complex and the book had great directions for finishing the rest of the quilt. I learned so much making this quilt. It was a wonderful experience!

Now that I'm done with this one, I'm working on a couple of others. (Three to be exact.) I'm still loving quilting, and can't wait to see where it takes me!

  2. Thanks! I had trouble getting a picture where the brown doesn't look almost black! The colors are so much better in real-life, but then aren't they all!
